Handle repair and replacement.

A wobbly or snapped handle is the part of the door you touch every day, and it is also what drives the lock. We replace worn handle sets, re-anchor stripped mounting points, and line the handle back up with the lock.

What we handle

Signs the handle set needs attention.

  • The handle wiggles, rattles, or pulls away from the panel
  • The handle body is cracked, chipped, or has snapped off
  • Screws will not stay tight because the holes are stripped
  • Turning the handle no longer moves the lock
  • The outside handle is corroded or pitted from salt air and sun
  • The interior and exterior handles no longer line up with each other

Handles do more than look good.

On a sliding glass door the handle set bolts straight through the panel and connects to the mortise lock inside the stile. When the mounting points loosen, the handle starts to flex, and that flex works the lock at an angle until the latch stops engaging cleanly.

We remove the old set, assess the mounting holes, and install a new handle that fits your panel and matches your lock. If the holes are stripped, we re-anchor them rather than simply forcing a longer screw.

Standard sets are on the truck, so this is a one-visit repair. If you want a specific finish we do not carry, we will show you what is available and order it for you.
